Meet Jo Charlton

Creatively, I am celebrated for my thoughtful, atmospheric and texturally planted gardens. Always designed collaboratively with clients and my designs blend harmoniously with their surroundings while offering immersive planting and moments to feel connected with the natural world and space to breath.

Following a career in 3D design and silversmithing I used my artist's eye to pursue my lifelong love of plants, landscape and our place within it by studying horticulture and garden design.

I established my design studio in 2015 since when I have imagined, drawn and created gardens with a timeless quality always treasured by my clients and their friends and welcomed by wildlife. I am proud to be a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden & Landscape Designers.

With a magpie’s eye for inspiration my designs are a fusion of human’s intervention within the natural world blended with art, fashion and architecture. Sketch book thoughts often strike while walking my glow of Golden Retrievers in beautiful Pennine South Yorkshire where I am so blessed to live.
